Hi, my name is Dillan Thomson. I’m a senior here at Texas State and currently pursuing a degree in advertising with a minor in art & design. I have taken this class in hopes of adding web design and publishing to my repertoire as well as to learn how to make a professional website for my freelance work. On my free time I enjoy printmaking or painting and am currently in two classes for screen printing and printmaking. I’ve always like impressionism so I guess I’ll make a first impression by sharing a picture of my favorite impressionist Claude Monet titled Impressionism Sunrise .

I’ve seen the history of the internet video a couple of times, but most recently I noticed the video discussed very briefly the afterlife which I found interesting because of how old this video is compared to how entrepreneurs and social media companies have just begun to develop a means of a digital afterlife in the last couple of years. I guess the idea has been around for awhile but the technology wasn’t available in the last decade or people were not uploading enough information to have much of a digital afterlife.

Here’s a article I found by the New York Times regarding the digital afterlife, it’s about three years old and not the right article I wanted to refer to, but it’s still pretty interesting.
