My name is Katie Wagman, I am graduating in December and want to move to Austin sometime soon after.
What really amused me about the video is seeing that even the amazing idea of the web was shot down at first by the telephone companies. Seeing how marvelous the web is now makes it hard to believe that when the idea was first in the making that companies weren’t jumping at the bit to help create it. From watching the video, I now have a better understanding of all the trial and errors that occurred in order to make interacting through the web as successful as it is now. The web is constantly changing for the better, and has gotten so much more advanced since those first caveman days where nobody was even on the web to talk to so you had to send yourself messages for fun.
