TXST Men’s Volleyball

The Texas State Men’s Volleyball team competes for the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation(NCVF) in the Southern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association(SIVA) conference. We compete against other D1 programs like Texas A&M, UT, Baylor, LSU, and Oklahoma State. Since I began playing for the Texas State Men’s Volleyball team, I noticed we did not have as much of a web/social media presence as other division 1 programs do. Other  club volleyball programs like UT and A&M have a website for their program, along with linked social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter. I am looking to change that for our program to help promote our team, reach fans, and hopefully ignite the interests of future athletes in joining our team. This semester I was named the programs social media coordinator. I have already established our social media presence on Instagram and Facebook. With the bootstrap site, I want to be able to promote the team in different ways, such as putting out our schedule, showing more highlights of the team, and giving a more in depth view on the players in the program. The layout for my bootstrap site will began with general information about the team and the program. The next section will be highlights which I decided to move from the bottom to the top of the page since these will small stories about the teams recent matches, tournaments, and other news on the program. the next section will the team roster and the program selected player of the week, which will include a short bio. The last section will include the fall schedule and the results of the games up to most recently. I will also include links to our social media sites in one of the sections on the page.
